A "clutch" is a device that either transmits driving force from the engine to the transmission or shuts it off, without stopping the engine. Bearings are equipped with a centering mechanism to prevent damage caused by sudden high-speed rotation during transmission of the driving force. In addition, some reduce weight by using steel plate presses for the bearing rings. Clutch release bearings are used in the part that transfers or shuts off the driving force.
